LTWC (LITURGY OF THE WORD FOR CHILDREN)
Liturgy of the Word for Children occurs during the 10:00 a.m. Mass most Sunday mornings. After the opening prayer children (usually ages 4 to 10) are dismissed with a facilitator. The children and the adult facilitator(s) process downstairs to the Church Hall where they listen to the word proclaimed using a special Lectionary for Children. The Lectionary for Children is written using language and concepts that children will readily understand. Following the readings, children pariticipate in a discussion based on the readings. Other activities may include role playings, brief skits, and more. Children receive a special Children’s Bulletin to continue the learning during the week.
All children are welcome to join us for LTWC.
ELEMENTARY FORMATION
St. James Elementary Formation process invites children in kindergarten through 5th grade to gather to learn the truths of our faith tradition and to share the Sacred Scriptures. Elementary Formation sessions are parent and child friendly with sessions meeting once a month from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. Class sessions begin in September and end in May. Class sessions consist of a variety of activities including shared prayer, storytelling, craft activities, music, and more. We incorporate a varity of activities to involve all of the children in active learning.
Our faith formation process enhances the faith parents are sharing with their children.
Parents are invited to assist in the faith formation process in a variety of ways:

- Assist with craft projects
- Etc.
