High School Formation (9 - 11)

Grades 9 & 10—Due to the pandemic, we are doing a virtual program consisting of activities and prayers to read, watch and do following a monthly theme on our website. There will be a check-in via a Padlet response to a prompt due on the second Sunday of the month. On the fourth Sunday of the month there will be a Zoom gathering with other high schoolers consisting of prayer, checking-in and a discussion on what was learned.

Grade 11--due to the pandemic, we will be doing two in-person or virtual Zoom classes twice a month for Confirmation.  We will be using Decision Point, a curriculum conducive to virtual learning from Dynamic Catholic.

Our High School Faith Formation program meets on Sunday mornings from 11:00AM-12:30PM, two sessions per month, October - May.

There are four Saturday Formation Masses at 5pm on the calendar in September, December, March, and May.  These masses are prepared by certain grades, and students are invited to be lectors, ushers, gift bearers, acolytes, and greeters.

Grades 9&10 have a two-year curriculum cycle using Loyola Press’s Called to be Catholic, giving students a well-rounded and concrete footing on their journey towards Confirmation.  In Church service options and an all-day retreat are also part of the Grade 9&10 Formation year.

Grade 11 classes are focused on Confirmation preparation.  We use the Confirmed in your Spirit curriculum from Loyola Press to lead class sessions.  Students are expected to complete off-campus service hours through the year, as well as attending an overnight retreat.
