Baptism

Ages infant through 6 years:   Baptism registration forms, including forms for the godparents, can be obtained from the Parish Office. Once the paperwork has been completed and returned, the parents and godparents attend on virtual baptism preparation session.

The session highlights the meaning of the sacrament in the life of the family and the role of godparents in the life of the child.

For children ages 3-6 years: An extra baptism preparation session is added for parent & child to attend, showing the child what will be happening at the baptism and to see where it will be happening.

Contact the Parish Office at 414-761-0480 to schedule a baptism, and we will mail the required forms to you.

For children/youth ages 7+ years:   The Catholic Church deems age 7 to be the ‘age of reason,’ thus children this age and older go through a process called the Order of Christian Initiation. The process is similar to the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults,

however the parents participate in the process with their child.

This process culminates at the Easter Vigil celebration in spring,

when the child receives all three sacraments of initiation of our faith:
Baptism, Eucharist, Confirmation.
