Children's Liturgy of the Word

What is it?  Children’s Liturgy of the Word is an opportunity for children to hear the Word of God at their own level.   Children are dismissed with adult leaders before the First Reading during Mass to hear God’s Word from the Children’s Lectionary.  The adult leaders then share an age-appropriate reflection and pray the Apostle’s Creed and Prayers of the Faithful with the children before being brought back to their families at the Offertory.

When is it?  Children’s Liturgy of the Word is offered during the Sunday, 10:00AM Mass.

We will restart Children’s Liturgy of the Word on Sunday, September 12th.

Since young children are not vaccinated, seating will be distanced for those attending, and we ask that masks be worn by any attending children and adults (regardless of vaccination). Hand sanitizer will also be available.

Who is it for?  Children ages 4-9 years in age.  A parent or older sibling is always welcome if a child is reluctant to join the group.
